The SuperValu Lusk Formula VEE Novice Championship

As if not to be outdone, Joe Smith takes the class win and a SIXTH overall in the final having qualified straight through. A fine performance by Damien Murphy taking class 2nd, keeps the championship wide open for the final two rounds.
Like the other two championships this one is too close to call, so we'll just have to wait for the next two rounds!

The SuperValu Lusk Formula VEE Novice Championship is run by the Formula VEE Association and is open to registered members of the Formula VEE association who are novice drivers. A novice driver is someone who has never competed in single seater (or saloon) racing before. Some of our novices may have competed in karts when they were younger! If you have previously done one or two races you can apply to see if you qualify as a novice. Like the other championships, this one is closely fought from start to finish, in fact, some of our novices will regularly put some of the more experienced drivers to shame – at least in terms of track speed anyway!!!
Points are awarded to the top nineteen class finishers. Previous winners include Brian Leader, Alan Whitty and Daniel Polley and Owen Purcell. Last years winner was Lloyd Murphy.
Our thanks go to Robert Casey who for sponsoring this championship again this year.
